Air and Kanon

Wondering if anyone else here watched Kanon? It really reminds me of Air. I watched Air first. When it ended, I was really sad, because it was such a great series, and I didn't want it to end. I browsed around on advfilms.com and saw the trailer for Kanon, and watched episode 1. It was a perfect follow up to Air! The two series are so similar in so many ways that it's as if they are related, though they are two very separate stories.

So far, only DVD 1 of Kanon is available in the US (as of Jan 31 2008) ooh-goo!
But, DVD 2 will be released on Feb 12, and DVD 3 on Mar 5. I have both pre-ordered through Amazon.

I've only seen disc 1 of Kanon, so I am thrilled to know that disc 2 and 3 are almost here. Can't wait to see how the series develops. So far, it's awesome. A must-see for fans of Air : )

They are similar because the games were made by the same company, Key, and the anime was made by the same studio Kyoto Animation.

I actually think Clannad is better than both at the moment, though with 11 episodes left it could go terribly wrong.

Yea def if you liked Air and kanon check out Clannad. Clannad wasn't as good as kanon, but was still fantastic, even though it was easily the least depressing one of the three...Though i hear the after story might trump all three.

With the After Story, Clannad is better than Air and Kanon. The After Story, if it stays true to the game, will make even the most hardened people shed some tears.

It's just really great.

My thought on the order was

Clannad>Air>Kanon. Clannad WILL be just spectacular with the AS.
