There are Kanon and Clannad which are made made into anime by KyoAni which animated Air and based off of games by Key which created Air, so Kanon, Air, and Clannad all have the same pedigree and are alike in some ways.

If you want more, there are many more anime based off of visual novels, just wiki visual novels and read the synopsis'.

Well you might want to try some of Mokoto Shinkai's films. They aren't major tear jerkers like this, but they are very stylized like Air.

Along with Clannad/After Story and Kanon 2006, Angel Beats is a good choice. All three are awesome and tear-jerking at the same time. Five Centimeters per Second was kind of similar.
