Anyone thought the kid's hair was a distraction from what was supposed to be his poor lifestyle? It looks like his hair was done by a professional hair stylist using expensive cream, and certainly not natural hair grease or cheap gel.

That's a really good point, OP, lol. I did not notice this one bit during the film but looking back, you are quite right, it's a bit out of place.
