'Batteries Not Included' to 'CJ7'

a 1987, Matthew Robbins' "Batteries not Included", anyone?

1. Extraterrestrial (whatever you may called it).
2. Friendship with human.
3. Repairs almost everything.
4. 'Died' towards the ending, only to be revived by colonies of their same species.

the similarities between these two films are uncanny.
