Hakuna Matata tattoo

in the beginning of the movie the 2 girls get tattoos that supposedly mean "Hakuna Matata" (also from the lion king, means 'no worries'). I was just wondering if anyone knows if they made this up for the movie or if this symbol really does mean hakuna matata. I've looked everywhere and i can't find any info about this symbol.
This is the symbol, just to refresh your mind if you've seen the movie:

I came here to ask the same exact question. Nothing that I've been able to find online suggests it's a real symbol. Is it the korean letter for Hakuna Matata? What are the origins of it? Is is a Swahili symbol?? I really really want to know, because I want to get a tattoo of it myself. Please?!!?

It's definitely not the Korean symbol for it. Hangul doesn't contain anything like that. However, I don't know if it's the actual symbol for Hakuna Matata.

I found this on Yahoo. It's just made up for the movie.

"there isn't a 'symbol' for Hakuna Matata. I just found out that the particular symbol is from a Korean movie '200 pounds beauty'. "
