Ok, not so good with Mexican accents here, but is Clarita supposed to have some sort of accent. She sounds a little strange, how she talks to Gaviota in the "usted" form, and Gaviota calls her Clarita instead of mom. I thought maybe this was supposed to convey a regional dialect or something of the sort.
shareI do not know about the accent but the usted is a from of respect, it is used among old people, or when a young person talks to an older person. In some families it is common do talk among each other like that. But the majority of the families don't do it anymore.
