Why was she dubbed?

Ok, so it seems that it wasn't just my imagination and that the actress that played Lucy in the first episode voice was dubbed, but I was wondering if anyone knew or had an opinion as to why? I'm presuming that they used the voice of an older actress, but the thing is the actress would've been mouthing the words anyway and to be honest Lucy's dialoge wasn't exactly particularly shocking or anything. Bizzar.

It ruined it for me. It sounded like an adult taking the pee out of a little girl, there was no innocence in it. Couldn't care about that character at all.

I agree. However the little gilr that played young Rosie was brilliant in my opinion.

I think she was dubbed because of her accent, didnt sound posh enough or whatever
