How many Tigerlilys are there ..... ?????

Someone mentioned to me yesterday that the girl who played little 'Angel' was Paula Yates daughter ........ yet I watched the ITV3 programme on the making of the drama where her name was shown as Tigerlily Hutchinson .

I know small children change but photos I've seen in the past have shown Paula's daughter to strongly resemble her father Mike Hutchence whereas this child didnt .

Anyone know the truth ? If it isnt the same child then the choice of name is quite strange I think .

Hi Teresa - my thoughts exactly. It's being discussed here on the thread titled

The Little Girl

Hi there .... yes I saw that but couldnt see the answer . However the link to the photo you've now put there confirms my belief that it was not Paula's daughter .

What I find odd is that someone would give a child a name - even if its only a stage name - that is so similar to someone else's . When its a really common name it doesnt stand out so much , but with an unusual - and well-known name like this I find it a bit puzzling .

If it is a stage name, then that's probably the reason. It's distinctive so people will remember it. Actors and actresses often choose stage names that are similar to known/historical figures eg. Jane Seymour because they are already familiar and the audience and casting directors are more likely to remember them.

For example, just look at the posters here discussing it. Otherwise it would have been 'wasn't the little girl great'/'yes'/ end of discussion. because we thought she might be the product of a traumatic past we were all more interested!!! Sad to say.

If it's not a stage name, then it maybe that the parents just heard Tigerlily in the news in the Yates context and liked it. She is probably about the similar sort of age, or a bit younger so it would fit.

Names do have fashions - like in the late 80s/early 90s when Kylie Minogue was on Neighbours and the name Kylie came to prominence, a lot of girls were named Kylie.

Another reason to assume it wasn't her daughter is that no mention of it is made in the TV guide, I'm sure it would have been mentioned if she was.

Also the fact that they have different names.
Ok, they have the same first name (a few million people do), but the last names are not the same. As it's the last name that does signify the family...it really is not that hard to work out they are not the same person.

It's easy if you try.

I agree.. I doubt it's her... Tigerlily (daughter of Paula) is in the care of her step father Bob Geldof - although his older daughters are now in all over the papers, he faught very hard to keep them out of the public eye while they were children. I doubt he'd allow Tigerlily to take up acting at such a young age.
