Just saw The Last Lullaby

I went to the San Diego Film Festival and saw The Last Lullaby. The movie was outstanding. For being a small Film, (small, as in independent) it to me was refreshing to see a film take its time to tell a tale. This film could have very well been a caper movie, car chase here and there, explosions. Gratuitous sex everywhere. Tom Sizemore and Shasha alexander were great. Tom Sizemore played the part perfectly. Very sutble, not outspoken, and no bad one-liners. Played it calm, quite and introverted. Shasha alexander also did a great job. she won an award for her performance at the SDFF. She played a very original role for a character in which other types movies like this would have been streotyped. A small linear story told complexly, driven by performance, and methodically woven by great direction.

I got a chance to shake the directors hand (JEFFREY GOODMAN). And utterbly surprised at how open he was. Taking in all of what we had to say to him. Being patient and honestly wanted to hear what we had to say.

They just don't make movies like this anymore. but I guess thats what film festivals are for. go to www.thelastlullaby.com for more inforamtion on the film.
