Ease up on the sarcastic comments. No we probably won't know about this show "officially" until May or late April (when a lot of network schedules leak).
But the fact that the ratings were in the toilet(lower even than LJ at some points)for ABC and they haven't even been given the greenlight to finish out the original order or weren't immediately contracted to finish it next season is a red flag. Add to that the expense of the show and it's stars (none of them are cheap unknowns) and you have a show with serious question marks on it for a netwrok more used to producing "hits" in the 15-20 million range as opposed to NBC desperately settling for 6-12 million most of the time.
The show started strongly so it's not a problem with advertising, it was featured in the media alot, it's stars were recognisable, the pilot was shown several times to atract as many as possible and it was on at a time when most scripted shows weren't, so it had a lot of things going for it and still basically bombed in the end.
Personally I liked it better than Lipstick Jungle so I hope it at least does upto 13 next season but I'm not holding my breath.

I didn't think it was that well promoted at all. For exmaple, there's hardly any mention of it on E! whereas LJ has been mentioned quite a lot. I also think it was a mistake premiering it on a Sunday and then changing the day to a Wednesday. I don't understand what the point of that was.
I agree though if they don't want to give it a second season (even though that's ridiculous imo) just doing a final 6 episodes would be great.
