Not really a zombie movie

Nothing happens for the first forty-five minutes. Then we do get to see a few infected people. But we just wasted forty-five minutes of nothing.

The budget is low, but it's not bad in that sense. The setting is mostly an old mansion and it has that Resident Evil feel to the house. But the movie is way too slow moving and you're just waiting and waiting for something to happen and it seems like it never does.

It's a shame. They had the setting and even used infected crows flying about. But they just couldn't get this story moving. And the infected people didn't feel so much like zombies. They were more like something out of a bad superhero movie.

I really didn't like any of the characters.

Wait for it to show up on scifi.

guess you didn't watch the last 20 minutes...

reply

Wasn't worth all the time of sitting through. Might as well just skip over to that.

reply

So the best thing is to skip the first hour and watch the last 20 minutes?
Thats even less than an average tv episode!

reply

yeah the movie is pretty bad overall, but it is a zombie movie. I don't think the OP should've posted this without watching the actual entire movie first. That would be like saying the 6th sense is too predictable after watching the first hour.

reply

yeah that was seriously lame almost an hour of nothing and very annoying characters

reply

Yeah, anyone watching this movie hoping it might have a gory/crazy ending, give up. There's nothing worth watching in this movie. Even the deaths are lame and boring. Skip even for free, not worth the time to watch it...just a warning to anyone thinking of watching this turd...

I concur with SlaughterHighMe. Too late for me but save yourself!

I've already seen the worst movie ever made, so it can only be uphill from there.

reply

I liked it. I've seen a lot worse.

The weekend I watched this movie I wasn't feeling well and I fell asleep twice and would wake up during the action scene at the end of the movie. I thought the ending scenes were interesting enough to watch from the beginning and by the third attempt I watched the entire movie. While the beginning of the movie was slow in action, the dialogue presented enough plot elements to connect the entire story.

I agree w/ TheBeardedWonder; NOT EVEN FOR FREE. Watched it on fearnet (for free) and still feel ripped-off (time). A great zombie premise, extremely poor mildly-retarded execution, by the entire crew.

Seriously, don't fall for this trap. I try to find something redeeming in every film. Budget means nothing IMO; one of my favorite films is The Man From Earth. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0756683/

I live to watch YOU die....

Wow, not sure how to even classify this movie.
It was epic.
No, it wasn't really.
It was really bad.

Sci fi at least has so sort of linear stories. This was like watching a *ahem* Zombie version of "the room".
Which is kinda the same thing

Awful. Reminds of Black Christmas, another movie where nothing happens the first 45 minutes.

It sucked, and I actually saw it by accident. It was listed on Chiller as The Beast Within (1982) so I set the DVR since I heard some good reviews on TBW. I ended up with this crap!

Sadly, this could have been a good movie in the right hands with better writing; wannabe Doc Blondie was way scarier and more disturbing than any zombie.
