What's Taking R1 DVD So Long????

This was out months ago in theaters? It seems like the U.S. distributer is having a hard time learning how to make DVD's. They have released a bunch of films in theaters, but not DVD. These guys suck and I wish someone else had picked up the rights to this film. Looks like we won't be getting a Departures DVD as well.

Arbino.....that's why I love my region-free DVD player! I don't have to wait forever and a day until a movie is released here in the US either in Theaters or on DVD. A Region-2 DVD of Tokyo Sonata from Hong Kong has been out for a while and can be had for less than $20. Departures is also out on DVD. If American companies want our $$$, they shouldn't sit on these films for so long for no good reason.

Regent Releasing was acquired by another company last June. It’s always the good movies that get stuck in distribution limbo, while the Hollywood crap gets all the attention. Peace.

Edit: R1 DVD (no BD, sadly) was released by E1/Koch on May 4, 2010! Peace.

The everyday happens every day.
