enough with the brothers

This film is a prime example of the malaise in the Oz film industry, if I see another film about a dysfunctional brother in a quirky family, I'll put my fist through the screen.
Is there some law in this country that states all young male actors must perform a gibbering retard role at least once? This film says, and is about, NOTHING, the characters are cliched and undeveloped, the plot pointless, and the ending a blessing for the viewer because he can go do something more exciting, like watching ants crawl on a dead mouse.
Maybe SHINE is to blame, or the appalling Somersault, which had absolutely no value except for one shot of Abbie Cornish's arse. I dunno, but can we please see a film from Australia with more than four in the cast? New Zealand has a fifth of our population and manages to produce BIG films, with like, effects and battles and STORIES and stuff, what do we do? a couple of dickheads in a car go across the desert and die for no good reason...it's pathetic, I hear the film finance ponces are making Fred Schepisi jump through hoops like a 1st year student to get funding for his latest effort, and this is a man with RUNS ON THE BOARD in the real world.
They and this film are a waste of space.
