Great material

How the hell did they screw up such great source material?

This is simply a poor Tarantino pastiche - even down to the chapter titles and foot fetishism. Tries so hard to be cool, funny and quirky - utterly fails on every account.

Such a shame.

From the Coen Brothers to Michael Mann to Tarantino and then to Charlie Matthau..........that was freaky enough.
After watching it I feel ashamed and very sorry for my favourite author Elmore Leonard.
It is his favourite book that he has ever written and to see it butchered by Matthau has even made me dislike Christen Slater for no logical reason at all.

It's sick how he managed to turn a diamond into a pile of #$@t!

Now if those four names (they all bought the rights in that order) at the top of my post were reversed, I'm sure it would have been in the top 250 list and high up on it too.

I mean Woody was a fat pig in the book...........wow I wish I never watched it.

Killshot and Freaky Deaky are two of my favourite Leonard novels.
I'll stick to my audio books in future if they let morons take control and try to make a "movie" from a Leonard novel again.

Why not just slap Elmore Leonard in the face and say goodbye, he would have chosen that action over what they did, ten times over.

Now why not read what Leonard had to say about the movies made from his novels way back in 2004, I can't imagine him even wanting to bring up the subject about his favourite piece of work 8 years later.

Here read the interview for yourselves........... http://www.guardian.co.uk/film/2004/jul/31/booksforchildrenandteenager s.elmoreleonard

Yeah this was just terrible. I loved the books Killshot and Freaky Deaky but this one was an insult to the work. At least Killshot tried to get it right...this one, just awful directing and everything, blah. Nothing worked.

Wonder what he thought of this. Poor guy.

Why didn't the Cohen brothers do it? It would have been gold! Hell, even Tarantino! What the *beep*...! :(
