it looks alright....

up until you see the alien thing the preview is very effective. also didnt care for the cheesy holding eye open part where they are about to shove a exacto knife in her eye. think they missed the mark on that one. and the ending of the trailer was pretty weak. the girls hand looks all funny. definitely should of reshot that if it was your clincher at the end. ill check it out.

It peaked my curiosity as well. Any word on it's release?

It's out, at least there are copies floating around the intarwebz. I'm watching it now- it's not a terrible movie, although at 2/3 the way thru I still have virtually no idea what's going on in the film.

The gore is pretty well done, clearly they spent a few bucks on effects, but the action scenes were a mess. Frequently it feels like the villain is teleporting around or something.

Let me know if you want more, I'll return with more observations when its over.

I didn't care for it. I read a few glowing reviews and can only assume they were done by those involved with the flicks. I even read it described as torture porn. A nudeless, sexless torture porn? If only. Then I may have found it at least a little interesting. Just another fake review attempting to cover all the bases.

Just more pretentious looking horror that does nothing but throw the fake blood around in fairly unmotivated, unrealistic killings. Why should I care if any of these people are killed? Terribly uninteresting and nothing to relate to on any level.

reply

LOL, ya im fake, and im involved in the film somehow. Gosh, paranoid much? check my post history, i've been posting here for many years and discussed/reviewed many items, and have no idea who these film creators are and ZERO interest in promoting them or lying to help them. Furthermore, the film DID suck overall. Had the poster I replied to bothered to ask for my final review, I'd have told him as much.

That said, there was a fair amount of torture but it didn't stand out in that regard, and I don't like torture anyway. The ending was interesting and unexpected but it didn't save the film from sucking.

reply

In retrospect, I see you weren't calling me one of those fake reviewers :) apologies. I think we generally agree about the overall suckitude of this film.

reply

yeah it started weird but kind of interesting, it goes way downhill from there

3/10 because I'm feeling generous

Yeah 3/10 seems about right... I was able to finish it and there have been movies I didn't finish. But... wow...

Does history record any case in which the majority was right?

I was enjoying it up until the alien thing and then felt as if the writer stuck two fingers up. Ruined the rest of the film for me then.

I just dont understand a few things...

SPOLIERS!!!!

Why were they killing the women if they just needed their "emotions"?

Who was the killer surgeon and why was he so dirty and have rags on his face?

If they were so intent on keeping the women locked up in there, why did the murder doctor keep leaving the door open?

Why did the white-suited henchmen wear costume masks?

Why did all the henchmen dress like it was a sterile environment, but the gimpy doctor dressed like a lab technician, and the "handsome' guy didnt wear any lab attire?

Why were the walls outside of the girls' room electrified? Wasnt that dangerous to the people conducting the experiment--and needless?

If that alien thing can kill people by squeezing their skull in, then why couldnt it have gotten out of a pair of loose dinky table cuffs?

Why were they so consumed with keeping the room clean and the bedding clean and the girls clean, but the murder doctor was so dirty?

Why was the blood orange?

Why did they need four women?

Why did the ailen look like a fly?

reply

Yeah, this was a bad movie, no 2 ways about it. How many of these types of movies (breathing room, killing room, this) are they going to make?

It was just so rushed in the writing. 'Oh, we found a way to transfer emotions from one person to this alien.' No explanation beyond that, great, thanks. Just a bunch of stabbing noises then a can of spaghetti sauce throw against a white wall. I'd give it a 4, which is being generous, only because there were a few interesting parts, just not enough.

PS: Yeah, there were about a HUNDRED things just never explained, so don't feel bad, you didn't miss anything.

Glad I am not the only one confused, I intially thought it was four women being tortured by a mad doctor sort of a deal to see how much a person can stand? It seemed to both drag and yet I had to see how it ended. I had no idea the women had volunteered. I was amazed that they could somehow use these women's emotions to try and kill the alien invaders, but sheesh, like someone said, why kill them and then it turns out it was love that killed the aliens not the fear or horror emotions, sheesh.

It's awful.
