as someone that has never seen the cartoon, i think it was decent movie

Agreed, it has enough artistic value to stand on its own and is better when not compared to the cartoon. As someone who has seen the show I'm capable of separating the two since its set in an alternate universe and isn't trying to tell the exact same story.

I wish they made another one or do what marvel has done with Hulk remake it to be better maybe and do all chapters..

When you come across something, a book, an animated series, any earlier work that was considered excellent and then remake it, it generally flops. The new people involved only tend to have a distorted view of the vision of the original artist(s) involved. See the pathetic Dune movies, The atrocity SYFY made of Childhood's End, all the failed remakes the film studios have been pumping out for decades. Watch the original animated series and you'll see that it's as different as a gold coin is as different from a chocolate coin wrapped in gold foil.

It's just silly to try to defend a movie against its detractors when you haven't bothered to see the original work. You don't have the perspective.

IMO it was a pathetic attempt by a third rate director/ screenwriter to squeeze 20 episodes of stories into a 90 minute movie. It failed and the two other movies were dropped like a hot potato.

This movie was such a mess that mentioning the source material is kind of an insult to the series. Whatever your feelings are for this film until you watch the show (if you choose to) the amazing property comprised of 61 episodes, has not been spoiled.
