okay, i just watched this movie and, admittedly, it was one of the best fanfilms i have ever seen in any genre... but one thing troubles me... why does a jedi have a girlfriend/wife? isn't "love" forbidden to all jedi? wasn't that part of the problem with annakin and padme? just curious...

Think of it this way: the Knights of the Old Republic comic series featured many things (among them married Jedi and masters with multiple apprentices) that were denied by the prequels. Which would you say are better (or at any rate, which offer a picture of the Jedi not as snobby elitists), the prequels or the KOTOR comic series?

Alot of things Lucas said recently I just discount. Because Lucas is a hack. The success of Star Wars was a collective process in which he had alot of help.
Jedi are discouraged to have relationships because its a hard and difficult life. But its not forbidden. And in Luke's New Jedi Order they have an even more open-minded view on relationships.
