Wow

Why's no one hear. You'd think there'd be a bunch of ppl saying "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO DEAR GOD WHYYYYYYYYY" but no. Well being that i live in america and it's rather hard ot get kamen rider stuff i'm looking forward to it. Although i do hope it's more like a smallville type of show where there are some more mature theme's as aopposed to power rangers.

About peoples bad comments about Dragon Knight.

reply

Can you blame them...then again it was bound to be either Disney or 4Kids...though many chose Disney over 4Kids.

I recall the whole Power Rangers Reloaded/Future Dragon Rider article in 2003. LMAO

PR Reloaded turned into Dino Thunder and confirmed the return of Jason Frank to the PR series, while Future Dragon Rider became a long running gag in the PR/Toku Community to this day. Most of the fandom jokes/rants being Kamen Rider being acquired by 4Kids...well guess what, it happened...lol...fate is sick isn't it.

4Kids did Ultraman and Kamen Rider...oh sweet irony.

PS: Yes, I know Adness owns KRDK...even though 4Kids distributes it.

WTF is the BS! Why does CW11 continuously get rid of good cartoons (The Batman, Spectacular Spiderman, Teen Titans, etc) and replaces it with this common garbage clone of the Power Rangers.

reply

CW11 didn't get rid of or replace anything. The CW did.

And Spectacular Spider-Man isn't over yet. It's just between seasons.

Also, The CW is not obligated to conform to your personal opinions.

reply

Spectacular Spiderman is gone bro. The 2nd season is being picked up by Disney XD. Any NO they are not obligated to listen to anyone opinions because we sure know they NEVER listen to their watchers anyway.

Constantly this network had good shows which are destroyed by incompetence.

Yeah, I just read that and was going to correct myself.

Just like any other network. And my point was, just because you think Kamen Rider Dragon Knight is garbage doesn't make it so. Others may very well enjoy it. Besides, judging by your posting style, I'd say you are likely outside of the show's, and CW4Kids', target demographic. Personally, I can't stand some of those preschool shows, but then I understand that they aren't aimed at me.

I agree with the point that those shows you listed were good.

Well, let me say first that I am a pretty big Spiderman and Gargoyles fan, but I think Spectacular Spiderman was full of hot air. It was ok, but not great, and kind-of cheesy (I just didn't like how everyone was related to everyone and how quickly it moved through it's plot points. Gwen never really got to get that romantically involved with Peter for them to make the love triangle that they wanted, now Mary Jane has turned into a wandering character without a plot point. I don't like how Eddie Brock and Harry have turned so quickly on Peter; if they were related like the show implied they would have been more loyal, creating more drama when they separated ("the Batman" did a better job with doing this with the Clayface character). Then also, just the idea that every villain is directly connected to Peter make it feel outlandish)

Still, I hate that it got taken off. It was really robbed considering how much advertisement and hoopla they put up about it. That part really stinks. Well, actually what 4KiDS did as a whole stinks, they basically killed Fox Kids and moved on back to CW, filling a majority of their content with old and junk repeat programs. Though it seems they did actually license outside work, which was great. I'm hoping they get to pick up Spiderman, but we all know they can't outbid Disney. Saturday Morning Cartoons are dying, and 4Kids isn't helping.

That said Kamen Rider Dragon Knight is a part of the 4Kids Power hour in my book. It's not perfect, but it basically is perfect considering it's target audience while not attempting to estrange the Kamen rider fans. (Heck, if you like Kamen Rider you should have no problem watching Kids shows, because it is one, even in Japan. It's not an insult, it's about demographics, it is more mature than power rangers, but it's still for kids... and it's perfectly fine for adults to like a "kid's show" because adults make them) It's a really great show, and I really like how they kept the spirit of Kamen Rider by making it slightly more mature than the American Power Rangers (all of them really. It's not a bad thing, because people even watch the Japanese Power Rangers for different reasons as well, it's just more campy and fun)

But yeah, I say power hour because the best things they have going for the block is this show and 5D's. (4Kids did a pretty good job on the dub of that, but it probably was do or die for them because of how they lost pokemon and botched up GX. Plus the original was catered to be easier to localize as they tuned down the content even in the original, while still keeping the premise interesting.) Some other shows seem pretty good though, Huntik, even though I personally don't favor it, is a show where I get the appeal, and I see how it can get really popular; Chaotic will probably be even more popular in their new show as they take out the artistic style for a more generic one, but it's probably more appealing the target group; and then there is Dinosaur king, which is pretty good for a Blatant Ad show. The New Ninja turtles, it's okay, I see it's appeal to kids, I don't like the way 4Kids handles the advertisements, it's like they are trying to get fans of the old show, but the program makes it very clear that this is a Ninja Turtles for the new generation of Kids.

I don't know, in actuality, I guess the CW 4Kids is a lot more balanced than the Fox box ever was, but yeah, I agree that it still was a bad move for them to remove Spiderman from their block... though it's not Ryuki's fault. For me, it's the better program, but it isn't even replacing the program's time slot and it offers much needed verity to their programming block. But yeah, Saturday Mornings are dying, but it's really more like Cartoons are dying. It seems less kids want to see cartoons and want to see more things like Hanna Montana and iCarly; that's why we're getting restructuring of Cartoon channels like Toon Disney to Disney XD and soon-coming Cartoon Network live action programs. (Damage control stated that they aren't canceling any cartoons because of the live action, but it's true... only because the programs are soft canceled by not picking up any cartoon replacements)

The first Kamen Rider show was made in 1971. So calling it a clone of Power Rangers is a bit wrong...
