It has been many moons since I first watched this movie, but it is on Starz right now, and I have always wanted to know. What in the world was Kelly trying to cook?
I really haven't seen anything that stomach turning in a while. Greasy gravy, sausage, bell peppers?!? What was it even supposed to be? I know we have regional cusines and maybe it some west coast dish but what? That is all I want to know, what?
-laughs- I was just watching the movie with the commentary from Regina King, Sharon Leal, and Lauren London, and none of them know what Kelly was trying to cook either, Sharon suggested that it might be jambalaya.

shareIronically I questioned how is it that Mel or her boyfriend didn't know how to cook either. True some college kids live off of parents bringing them home cooking or eating out ~ but it seemed like the way Lisa always chatted about knowing how to cook that she would have taught her younger sister how to prior to her leaving the nest.
It was such a hot mess to see three underdogs trying to figure out how to cook. They were better off looking for leftovers or a frozen meal to serve everyone.
One thing I did enjoy was at beginning of movie where mother tells Kelli just to make Kool-Aid.
