Is 'This Christmas' anyone elses favorite Christmas song?

I absolutely love this song. Does anyone have a favorite version of it? I don't really have a favorite version, but i think that this girl does a REALLY good job on it. It's a shame that she's not famous because i would totally buy her version of the song.

There you go Pop. I just helped so you can click on it. If you want to know how to do that just put [ url ] [/ url ] ( without the spaces ) in front of the link and after.

My two favorite versions are by Chris Brown and Ruben Studdard.

Hey I wonder if that might be on YouTube somewhere. I would love to hear Usher's version of it. He's another one of my favorite R&B singers...plus he's part owner of my favorite NBA basketball team.

I know this is off topic, (LOL), but was it 98 Degrees or Backstreet Boys who has an openly gay band member? (Lance Bass)

reply

Actually, I don't follow the boy bands or the gossip enough to know. Someone else around here probably does though.

To answer your question it was neither. Lance Bass was in Nsync...

Anywho, I love this song, my fave version is by The Temptations, in fact I think it's probably the only version I've heard, well besides Chris Brown's but I do love it.

I like the song too, but the first thing I noticed was the fact that he was singing it in a church on Christmas. It struck me as odd, because that's a secular Christmas song. I can't imagine there were any verses of "This Christmas" to follow along with in the hymnals.

Most predominantly black churches don't have hymnals. I won't say all because I went to a Pentecostal Church of Christ back about 15 years ago in Cleveland, OH that used hymnals. But they also sang contemporary Christian music (which was originally recorded by African American gospel singers) in their church as well.
