Greatest Ending Ever...
Seriously, that's at least a very entertaining ending, even if it was the actors and not the characters. Also, seeing Mel dance like that made the movie even better (she is BANGIN).

And yep, I'm ready for a sequel.
Let me be the first to wish you a Merry Christmas! Ho, ho, ho!
I loved that ending! I loved the fact that it was the actual actors, not in character. Idris Elba knew how to move it! LOL.
"You think you know who you are? You have no idea."
Maybe it doesn't need a sequel, but I would wonder what a sequel would be about? It's sort of like how Friday went for a long time without a sequel, but people eventually wanted one.
shareSeeing the same family three or more years later sounds good to me. The characters are interesting enugh that I'd be willing to see what happens a bit later in their lives.

I agree. Having them reunite in a few years would be interesting. Plus, I'm always eager to see more of Idris Elba!

Where was the white girl though? Why did she pass on the soul train? She just adds fuel to the myth that white people can't dance.
shareSame here. I'd like a sequel set a number of years later at another Christmas. It would probably be difficult to get the whole cast back together again though. The characters were intriguing enough, the performances and writing were good enough, that I think a sequel could be just as entertaining if they could assemble the same line-up.

Its my favorite part of the movie
It is like the other poster said, who can resist a Soul Train? Too much fun to watch.
"Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn, and cauldron bubble."
Loved it. A great homage to Soul Train, and of course we know what happens when you let actors loose in front of a camera. They were just wonderful. So fun to watch that.
What a great idea to end this movie!
Nah, it was annoying. It went on and on and on and on.
