Why I am against black movies

Black movies are a dumb idea. I mean, first you had black and white movies. They were OK, but then we got color. We can now have black, white, and red and blue and every other color of the rainbow. So, I think to have a movie just in black is taking a step backwards. Also, I don't understand how you could even follow what is happening if the only color in the movie is black. So in summary, I think all movies should be in full color, and not just one.
Thank you

you're stupid!

queencity86 , I like how we say it in the street. We drop the 're and we say "YOU STUPID" of course you know it is all love original poster. I guess you deserve some credit as you got over a half a dozen posts whereas I can write some serious bleep about how fisgburne, billie dee and the brother from another planet guy all have similar articulation, or how I have a movie spoof idea called "Next Christmas I will get my Groove bACK DOWN IN THE dELTA WHILE EATING sOUL fOOD with a preachers wife and a Bodyguard" explaining how decidely middle class sophisticated (some might say bewgie) African American family dramadies are fertile ground for an outlandish spoof, and get no posters either for or against.

That is like the worst analysis I ever read, your statement is pointless and makes no sense
I don't understand what your point is, but If you're saying you hate black movies, you must hate white movies

reply

shorty140, if you choose to write on bold letting to gain attention then you should at least have half a brain when replying to other people. If you don't get the point or the humor then you are clearly retarded.

reply

Your ridiculous term "black movies" immediately made your post unintelligent, ignorant and irritating.

If you had any sense, you would realize that your point is absurd. I certainly hope no one takes you seriously...I'm sure you do enough of that for yourself. In reality, race doesn't mean anything. Race doesn't make us any different...unless of course, you consider anyone with a different color of skin to be abnormal which if you do, you need to rethink your opinion. So in summary to you, if you understood that race doesn't mean anything, you would understand how idiotic you saying "I don't understand how you could even follow what is happening if the only color in the movie is black." is.

I hope that someday soon you get past your generalizations since they're extremely judgemental and biased. I hope you realize that what you call "black movies" are not inferior in any way to whatever type of movies you prefer.

reply

Omg you idiots are retarded. Can't ANY of you detect sarcasm? Or is there no ebonics equivalent term?

+1 to the original poster. Great post.

reply

There is no ebonics equivalent. Blacks can make movies all they want but if you think I'm gonna go see one you're nuts I can't stand all of that gangbanger rap thug crap.

reply

"There is no ebonics equivalent. Blacks can make movies all they want but if you think I'm gonna go see one you're nuts I can't stand all of that gangbanger rap thug crap."

you are the epitome of stupid

It's time to fight back thats what Huey said

reply

Well, don't see them then! And,FYI, not ALL black folks love those gangbanger type of movies--they tend to be directed AT a younger crowd, for starters. I don't particularly care for them myself,so stop making stupid generalizations, please. Believe me, just because these movies exist does NOT MANE THAT all black people watch them. And do you REALLY believe those are the ONLY types of movies about black people are THOSE types of movies? Get real. Anybody who thinks that IS stupid! Gimme a break! You can't be THAT ignorant and for real (though I fear that you are).

reply

Dboydacrack, I agree with you. The person you responded to is stupid. The OP is also. The so-called humor in the OP's post is not very good.

"I'd be very happy to be myself if I could remember who I am. Who am I?"

reply

Sorry, I have a hard time responding to moronic statements such as "Omg you idiots are retarded."

reply

Hey, hey, am I the only person here who got a terrific laugh when I realized what the OP was saying?

C'mon, folks, learn to recognize humor and satire when you read it!

Merry Christmas! Ho, ho, ho!

Well, moron, good to see you were able to respond this time.

reply

Nice post.

1. I like absurd humour.

2. And if you take the post figuratively speaking, it can mean that culwin simply doesn't like movies that are strictly aimed towards one aspect of the human race, which just makes that segment even more segrated.

I too like movies that have a much more broad appeal in which alot of people, not just a small percentage, can relate to the story being told.

So yeah, black is too one dimensional. The more colour, the better.

edit: I just read some of culwin's posts. I agree with the guy that said that culwin is one funny bastard. heh.

reply

lol, it sounds like the OP is Stephen Colbert. Who, for those of us STILL under the impression he is serious (they exist, really), Colbert is 100% sarcastic.

reply

Thanks for the response, ZeppelinRox!
I also like 3D movies.

You know damn well you wouldn't say that to his face.

This has been a public service announcement.

reply

Amazing. I got the joke half way through the original post. That's my kind of humor. I love how so many people got angry thinking it was racial. Stupid people, you keep me young. Laughter is the best medicine and dumb people provide lots of laughter. Thanks again, dummies.

Damn!! My posts attract so many nutty B-A-S-T-A-R-D-S!

reply

It's not surprising this person didn't reply back.

reply

I'M JUST GONNA REPOST WHAT I POSTED TO ANOTHER IDIOT ON HERE WHEN HE/SHE TALKED ABOUT 'WHITE/BLACK PEOPLE' MOVIES:

omg, another person with an ignorant statment. Just like I tell EVERYONE there is no such thing as black music [just genres], black/white clothing [just styles], and definatley no such things as black movies. In that case black people shouldn't go see anything with Nicole Kidman, Tom Cruise, or Reese Witherspoon? because those are 'white people movies'. Gawd, this is the year 2007 almost 2008 and they still have people who sterotype things as black and white. one word for that "IGNORANT"

reply

OK to stop the ignorance and ruin the joke.

He means the literal meaning of the color "black" by saying movies shouldn't be all black means the entire time you will be staring at a black screen. No color, no images, no actors, just sounds. THink of it as payin for a movie ticket and setting there listening to the radio.

this is what the OP meant.

great posts,

f-ing morons in here

and for the record, i'm black and i enjoyed the movie.

I probably hate you!

reply

Hahaha. I can't believe some people did not understand what the OP was saying and actually got offended by it. If you still don't understand it, read S2daK's post - he/she explains the meaning.

reply

I thought it was pretty funny...

reply

Culwin is as dumb as Homer Simpson.

reply

doh

reply

Man, these are my favorite kinds of threads. I especially love it when the humor-devoid philosophers go on a diatribe against the OP.

Do you think black people should be called "absense-of-color people"?

reply

Do people really not get that sarcasm doesn’t always translate well on the internet? More than a few people here responded to this post angrily so you’d think that would be an indication that it doesn’t. That’s what I love about being human…we don’t all have one collective thought, so what’s funny and obvious satire to one person won’t be to the next.

I will say though…at this point if people are still responding angrily to this post, they may want to read the whole thing first.

Dear Haters,

"This Christmas writer/director Preston Whitmore II, whose only previous major release was last year's poorly-reviewed basketball film Crossover, will now be a hot property in Hollywood. What does it say about moviegoers? Tyler Perry's films and now This Christmas prove that younger movie audiences are increasingly color-blind"
