The only redeeming part of the movie was the ending scene...
This movie tried to be so much, but failed on so many layers. It is a real shame to see a waste of such great talents as Mekhi, Delroy, Loretta, and Regina. There was little to no chemistry between the actors. I swear that the writer took segments of Soul Food, Tyler Perry (Madea and Diary of a Mad Black Woman) and put them together into this mess of a film. I still am sitting here asking myself why I finished it. I guess to see Mekhi because he is so handsome. I have read some reviews on here that indicated that this was just a vehicle for Chris Brown, who, my apologies, am not familiar with his music, and I wonder if that is true.
Let's not even start on the plot holes, wow. There are so many, it would be hard to list. If you have absolutely nothing else to do in your life, and no other films to watch, then pop this in, fast forward to the last scene, and have at it. I give it a 2.5 out of 10.
