Why kidnap girls in their apartment?

They both agreed to go to the party with the guy why not wait until they come out?If someone owns the whole 5th floor of a Paris apartment building it seems like it would be pretty hard to break in go up 5 floors and kidnap some people. In real life wouldn't the kidnappers wait for them to come down at 9 o'clock and then have them get in a car with them and then kidnap them? If that didn't work then you could kidnap them later. Just seems highly unlikely these guys just waltz into a fifth floor apartment building in broad day light and there is absolutely no security in the building.

Yeah, that would seen easier for them to due that, but let's face, this is an action film, not a whole lot of reality in it. Here's a story about real-life human trafficking going on in the good old Midwestern heartland:

Auto correct on my phone is annoying

I agree. They could have refused the party offer in the evening. Much quicker to just grap them right there, well knowing that they were alone on the entire floor.
Time is money, and 'Peter' probably didn't take long to get back to the airport to spot new solitary young lady foreigners.

That apartment looked very upscale and was in a well populated area too, with lots of potential witnesses. But let's admit it, the most exciting scene was when they bust in and she sees her friend getting abducted - the soundless view of that chaotic moment through the windows adds to the suspense and panic of that moment. Also, it gives her time to phone Super-Dad fast, hence a subtle plot device to speed up Neeson's involvement.

I agree but Meh, Jails are full of stupid criminals (including Albanian gangsters) that don't think things through. Then again being teenage girls there was a 9 in 10 chance they were going to flake out on the party or forget. No telling where they'd be at 9PM. It's just a lot more work these gangsters would like to avoid.

Yeah that was strange considering what we learn from the girl that Brian managed to save. It the marker brought the girls to Rue Paradis under a pretense however then the 'good luck' scene wouldn't have been possible. If they had snatched them while walking down the street or at the party Kim wouldn't have been able to give her dad all the information.

Usually they probably would have done that, but even though it was a fancy place, I am sure they were capable enough of figuring out a way to get in. Besides, why wait when there was no one there but the two girls, as the friend stupidly informed the guy they shared the cab with?

"Oh my God! You put a living room where the crack den used to be!"

This is a good point. The girls will probably go to the party; and if not, then others will. They must get into the place, and then get out with two kicking, screaming girls (or carrying unconscious girls in broad daylight -- suspicious in either event). Seems very high risk, high profile. And that apartment was really big. There must have been some place to hide, and they did not know that she was there.
