my setup is a 7300gt p4 3.00ghz and 512 ram now you see why the loading times are rubbish but the game runs well overall but the loading times are long.

Am i literally the only person alive that doesn't have long loading times for this game?, i think mine literally loads up in about 12 perhaps 15 seconds at most. share

I've got an Intel core 2 duo e6600, 2 gigabytes of ddr2 memory, and an ati radeon x1800xt graphics card, can't remember what motherboard i've got unfortunately, and i'm running it on Windows XP. I've heard it's got issues with Windows Vista so i avoided installing it on that.
I guess it's down to sheer luck in some cases with this game, i've read posts from people with amazingly powerful alienware style pcs who seem to still get lag, framerate drops and long loading times for no apparent reason. You're right that it's a great game though, even if my loading times were pretty long i think i'd still duke it out and wait for it to load up, it'd just give me an excuse to go grab a bite to eat and a drink before playing it, lol.
yeha i recently started reading steven kings misery while it loaded lol.
Fortunatly for me performance isnt bad just reallly long load times but good ol steve sorted that out.

LOL, i think i'll give that a try next time i play something with a long loading time, Far Cry instincts on the xbox would be a good candidate. I usually just sit and blankly stare at the progress bar but reading Stephen King sounds like a good way to pass the time (digs out his copy of The Shining)
On another note, WOO! just finished the game about an hour ago, with the true ending as well, awesome stuff. share
hehe im too sick of the loading time to bother finnishing it. Unless i play shoot the star, Like in dawn of the dead but on top of the yantar mobile lab.
I would recommend misery it is a really good book.

This is my favorite game. I find the storyline most captivating and I love the gameplay.
