No longer playing in my theatre!

Thank you "Avatar" for taking over 3 of my theatre's screens and wiping out "Transylmania".

*dances*

i hope it's going to make you notice... someone like me.

We lost it after the first week, and by what I can tell from last week's screen count, it lost something like 90% of it's screens at the same time, so I'm guessing it's COMPLETELY gone from theaters now. You were one of the unlucky ones if you still had it up until 2 days ago. Yikes...

My theatre was one of the unlucky 118 theatres to keep it for a second week. And that was only because we got one new release last week, and one of the older films had to go.

But 'Transylmania' was only playing once per day, at 9:40pm, the second week we had it.

i hope it's going to make you notice... someone like me.

Our whole Fall was full of movies that stuck around way too long because of a lack of new releases. That is the ONLY way I can explain "9", "Love Happens", or "Jennifer's Body" hanging around for 4-5 weeks. Except for movies that have played in limited release that are making the rounds, or wide releases that we didn't get opening weekend that we were inexplicably booked for 2 weeks later after the movie's already tanked, we usually don't have anything for less than 2 weeks, or maybe 12 days if we're ditching it for a mid-week release. Speaking of which, we got "Pirate Radio" like 2 weeks after it came out, on a week where there were 3 or 4 other movies to build, and then we lost it a week later when there was also quite a bit of other work to be done. Movies like that (especially "Transylmania") end up being nothing but a waste of time.
