Nicole Kidman should've won the Oscar that year? I've seen the performances of the five nominees and only Nicole delivered such raw, sincere and authentic emotions. Natalie Portman was mind-blowing though so I guess it came down to who's performance was well-known and utterly unforgettable.

I agree. She should have won. And I am not even a fan of hers. I also feel Eckhartt and Dianne Weist should have been nominated. They were every bit as good.
