Sarah Walker. Why can't Chuck use a gun or kill anyone??

Recently I have finished watching CHUCK and I only have good words for the series, except for the end...

But, I can't understand the reason why Sarah can't stand up that Chuck could kill a man so he could become a true spy or that he could use guns and kill men as she does. Or even better, just like Bryce Larkin and Daniel Shaw always did. They both killed a guy to become CIA spies and killed many more and she was their girlfriend. It is okay Chuck does not want to use them but if someday he wants to, What is wrong?

Evenmore, when she is dating Daniel Shaw it's the same time when she complains about Chuck behaving in a differente way.

ΒΏIs there any explanation of this? I really need one πŸ˜€

After finishing the series it is one of those things I can't quit of my head. It is weird because I did not expect too much of this show and now it is one of my favourites, it feels some kind of emptiness when you have no more episodes to watch, Did you happen the same? Hard to forget, I think I will see it again in a few days.

Thanks for your answers!

Don't forget that it was alright when it saved her life. I thought there were areas where there was very poor writing but they were able to get away with it because of how good the cast was. It is also my favorite show, I have watched very few entire series, and none more than once up until Chuck. I have watched this entire series 4 times now.

To be fair, I also wouldn't want to date someone who killed somebody, but if he saved my life, I'd be okay with that 

The first part of the third season (with the exception of a couple of episodes) was poorly written. They had Sarah act so coldly towards Chuck when he had to do his Red Test, convincing him (not sure if it was intentional) that they couldn't be together if he didn't pass his Red Test, then walking away from him when she thought he had. It was the writers desperate to add more tension to the relationship before finally putting them together in "vs the Other Guy."

Prior to that, though, it did make sense. What Sarah loved about Chuck was he WASN'T a spy, that he was her shot at getting out of that life, and she knew Chuck would always be there for her and never betray her, despite the times she (usually almost) betrayed him.

And yeah, it was sad to see the show end. But I have to give Chuck fans credit: they still keep an eye on the careers of the stars (at least Zac, Yvonne, and Adam) and they helped donate to St. Jude's through LittleChuckFan's website. (not sure if she still does that)

yeah but even though she was with bryce and shaw she didnt like them nearly as much as chuck. remember how they had bryce hostage and sarah shot the guy behind him no problem? with chuck she couldnt do that she froze up and casey ended up shooting him from behind. she liked that chuck actually had feeling and emotion.

I always felt the reason she didn't want Chuck to become a spy because a Chuck who had killed... wouldn't outer maybe couldn't be the same guy anymore. The guy she was or had fallen in love with.

Yes Chuck liked Shaw. But even then she realized Chuck was still "her Chuck". It seems silly but I put it down to irrational fear.

Sarah knew that killing a person changes you forever, from her own personal experience. She loved Chuck's innocence and genuine love for family, friends and respect for life in general. She saw in him what she wanted for herself, but knew she would never be able to get back because she had already killed several people in her lifetime.

So with Chuck she "idealized" what she wanted in life. She wanted an innocence she was robbed of even as a young girl because of the life her father gave her (a life on the run all the time) and continued to live as a CIA spy.

So in a way she was protecting Chuck from turning into someone else, which she knew was bound to happen if he had truly killed someone else, other than out of protecting his own family or loved ones. She knew that a "first kills" would not be the last kill. It would change him and harden him forever.

What she failed to recognize is that she herself had a lot of heart and compassion, even though she could appear "cold" at times. But comparing her to others, she really did manage to maintain some of who she idealized in her mind.

But I could understand her reluctance to see him change and I am glad he never did, but instead found the benefits of the "tranq" gun.

You basically just said everything I was going to say and I completely agree with you. I liked that they didn't have Chuck kill people all the time like the other spies 'cause it would have changed him too much as a person and he wouldn't have been the same guy at the end of the show.
