They made THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS a two-parter, but not this?

This film is decent, but I would've liked something closer to the DEATH OF SUPERMAN story. It's disappointing there was only Superman, and no other heroes. Which also means this probably should've been a JUSTICE LEAGUE film. It kind of feels less "epic" when it's just Superman. Like if a movie based on WORLD WAR HULK had just the Hulk and Iron Man.

Have the first movie be about Doomsday and Superman's death, and a sequel film could've been based on REIGN OF THE SUPERMEN. Have the real Superman return at the end.
