Continuity Issue

I know I'm probably reading too far into this, but from a chronological standpoint, shouldn't the episode "Journey to Monkey King Castle" have come before "Princess Kai-lan"? After all, Kai-lan and her friends already knew the Monkey King in the latter, but they basically met him for the first time in the former.
