I love this

I've only just got this and love it.... The cities are awesome and my favourite parts are the horse riding as it actually takes time to go from place to place.

My only gripe is a small one that that is the plot. It's a bit confusing. How did the Templars survive all these years and now they are a super big corporation hell bend on world domination.

The whole DNA thing is fascinating. I'd call that a new kind of time travel.

Same way various other 'secret society' types made it.
There is still a Knights Templar of sorts in exsitence today, along with similar religious sects like the Assassins were, although most have gone through many changes and are more offshoots of what the original organisations were.

The Freemasons are a good example, as are Anabaptists, Zoroastrians and so on.

Oh man, the horse riding is my least favorite aspect of the game lol. If you could just ride and eventually get there it would be fine, but to have to blend and move at an extremely slow pace every few seconds bugs me so much. Most people complain about how repetitive the game is, but I would take that over riding that rose any day :-)

You don't have to blend... You can either ride along and fight enemies from horseback, or just blaze past and ride away as fast as you can. You're on a horse, they're on foot... do the math.
You could even go on foot and be all super-sneaky. There's plenty of items to find along the way as well.

Later in the game, you do get the option to jump straight to a city, or to ride though in real-time.

Stay with it, get through it and you'll find subsequent AC games have LOADS more on offer!!!

I've just always assumed that all of the guards in my destination city would be on top of me if I rode through at a fast speed in order to avoid the guards along the way. Thanks for the tip...no more slow strolls on horseback for me :-)
