There is wayyyy too much lag, it's playable from about 11am until about 3pm whereupon it becomes so laggy you cant play it! I used to play eve online and very rarely encountered lag at any time of the day and when i did it was nowhere near as bad as this!

shareIt depends on the power of your system. STO has a lot of potential and i love it, (also having left WoW to play it for the more mature players and rp fleet trekkies)
But it is VERY graphics/power greedy. I recently bought a new computer with 8 gig of DDR3 RAM, a Nvida GTS 470 Card, 2.66GHZ x 4 quadcore and 3d/dolby 7 Surround sound. It runs the game perfectly. before i got this comp my old Nvida Geforce8800gt (256bit) and 3.2 gig of duelcore power would only run it on basic setting. Despite what the minmmum requirements say you need a dogs bollocks system to ruun this successfully (but thats only my opinion) I'm also on 30meg broadband internet. No problems here....
