But it doesn't seem a North American DVD exists. It's really too bad, it's so d*mn good.

Agreed. We can't get it in the UK either :(

I got mine from playasia if I remember correctly.

Think it ran me about 15 bucks or so. Not too bad, but I agree - this film definitely is in need of a region 1/2 release.
