What is your favorite "road trip/adventure/get-away-from-it-all" movie? I don't really know exactly how to label it, but this sub-genre is my favorite type of movie when it's made correctly.
My favorites are Last Stop for Paul and The Beach.

In terms of comedy, I loved Road Trip (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0215129/) and EuroTrip (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0356150/).
I thought this movie was pretty cool, though. It was on after Dexter on Showtime and I planned to turn it off and go to sleep, but it kept me interested to the end.
Definitely a different vibe but "brokedown palace" is a good movie about Americans backpacking in Thailand.
