Missie's age in LUL

I am sure many of you out there have read the Erin Cottrell interview floating around online. I am also sure that you have all seen the reason why Logan didn't come back as Willie. Stupid reason if you ask me. But anyways there is a lot of discussion going around on here about the whole age thing in these movies. I believe the character of Missie to be around 31 in LUL (like Erin said in the interview) and she will be in her 40's in LUD. They didn't want Logan in the next movie because they thought it would be to unfair to him to be around a bunch of 40 year olds all day long. He's acted with them thus far so why should the next movie be any different? I understand the age thing for LUD (kind of) but he could have still played Willie in LUL being the time lapse from LAJ was only a few years. So the character of Willie would not have been in his 40's in LUL while Missie was only in her 30's. It was the next movie they were talking about. Anyways I got bored and did a breakdown of the ages from the movies.

LCS - Missie was 9
LEP - Missie was 19 and Willie was 21
LLJ - (1879) - Missie was 21 and Willie 23
LAJ - (1885) - Missie was 27 and Willie 29
LUL - (1889) - Missie was around 31 and Willie would have been around 33
LUD - Missie will be in her late 30's to early 40's

Maddie:
LLJ - Born
LAJ - around 5 or 6
LLJ - around 9 or 10

Please note that all of these ages are just guesses and estimates :D

The article made it sound as though the producers didn't think they could make Logan look 40-ish in the next movie because he's so young. But make-up artists do this all the time (remember "Back to the Future" part II?). Logan didn't even play his part in "Love's Enduring Legacy" when he was shot (the actor's face was never shown), which makes me think there is more to his absence than what they are saying. He didn't have to look 40-ish in "Love's Enduring Legacy," so why wasn't he a part of the movie that ended his role?

That is what all of us fans are wondering. There has got to be more to the story then the age thing. He could have played Willie in LUL and even in LUD with make-up and stuff (like we have all said). Willie not being in this movie just ruined the series even more for me. They didn't even show the actors face (like you said)and the scene where Willie dies just seemed really sloppy...like they wanted to get it done and over with as soon as possible. There has got to be another reason for Logan not returning to the series.
