Once Again The Film Crew Invades IMDB

There have been some truly awful Irish films recently, but this may qualify as the very worst. Incoherent, badly acted, poorly shot and politically irresponsible, this tripe really does not belong in cinemas.

Yet the film has 2 10-star reviews already on this site and one maniac even claims Anton is one of the 20 best she has ever seen.

Yeah, right! Hello cast and crew of Anton. Welcome to IMDB. Please feel free to promote your dire, dire film. A word of advice though: if you are going to write bogus reviews, it might be best to rate the film a 7 or an 8. Ten really is completely implausible.

You are not wrong. Having seen this useless film in Galway, I read the review from marthaward and thought something about it seemed a bit fishy. Sure enough, the phrase "misguided patriotism" actually appears both here and in the production notes.

Ha! You lot are bang to rights.

Ohhhh man. This film sucks. Only somebody with money in it could rate it 10/10.

Oh and most of these Irish "actors" think they're awesome in their own minds but are truly pathetic! They think they're great because they're "actors" and are insiders within the movie industry. They get to see stupid things like e.g. I know this one actor who was at this actor thing where Colin Farrells sister was there and his porche was there and he was like "yeah we were just hanging around with Colin's sister. You know, Colin Farrell?" LOSERS!! Half of them put up their own photo's here on IMDB, write their own reviews and profile, show their friends how "great" they are.

Well, Jlon, it wasn't the ONLY negative review, because I wrote one as well and -- what do you know? -- the filmmakers have had that removed too. You know, it's funny. When you meet these Irish directors in pubs, they are all: "Oh critics are down on us. If only the public could get to see our great movies they'd love them." Well, there you go. The public (one or two of them, anyway) have seen this rubbish and have spoken on IMDb. They have then been censored. Nice!

I think both your remarks are accurate. Have you ever been to a premiere of one of these ghastly things? Everybody -- be which I mean the director's friends and family -- weeps with joy and he (or, less often, she) then decides the film opened to acclaim. Meanwhile, genuine member of the public fume at the wretchedness of the film.
