what...actually happened in the ending?
did they both become human? or did he die since he stayed in middle heaven too long?
He reincarnated, but she stayed behind.
I thought he died and went back to midheaven. Then both were reincarnated because she used her power to save him. But I'm going with they both lived for eternity in heaven together because of them saving heaven.
shareNot really. In the early part of the movie she ever mentioned that a human being in midheaven is dangerous because if he died there he will not be able to reincarnate.
At the ending, she turns into a light and reincarnate, facing endless surferring at the price of using her power to save him.
He died in midheaven, his body is left in midhaven but will not reincarnate.
He got the promise from her that she will remember him forever, but both of them will never meet again.
Could that possibly any more tragic and sad? I was going to answer the OP til I saw your post and you said it all...
