I agree, Sci-Fi likes to have more alien type shows.
New Amsterdam is more drama and TNT's logo is "We Know Drama"
The only thing they need to do is get better writers. And TNT does have shows like The Closer which is usually nominated for it's great writing.
Sci-Fi's speculty seems to be space and aliens and New Amsterdam is nothing like that. Plus this show needs a high budget and TNT can afford it while Sci-Fi is owned by NBC which is a very poor network. Most of their money goes to Heroes. And even then they still have crappy green screen.
I thought The 4400 was better suited for Sci-Fi since USA cancelled it. What a waste of a great show. NBC also owns USA so it wouldn't be switching networks. But if it had a lower budget then it could fail. And I heard it was cancelled due to it's high budget.
There's a huge difference between Network and Cable stations it seems. Cable stations usually have a feel to their shows that those shows are well suited for that station.
For example The 4400 was a short episode, high budget show.
It was perfect for USA since USA isn't pressured into getting high rating like NBC is. NBC would cancel it if it didn't get a large audience. They may give it a season, unlike ABC who would pull it the day after it airs then fire the cast and kick them to the curb.
Do I CAUSE YOUR DEATH? Just like you caused Michael John's?
