Timeline error in Ep 2

The characters keep referring to the red book of poems as John's book that he wrote. John dedicates the book to Omar's mom. A close up of the book reveals it to be the poems of Omar Khayam who was born in 1048. The implication being that one of John's past lives was that of Omar Khyamm. Yet John was not made immortal until some time after Anglo Saxons came to America.

As to the desk John made for Omar which Omar then sold for $60,000, it could only be authenticated as a genuine Benoir if John did not use any modern tools in making it. I didn't notice if he used modern tools or not. Did anyone else notice?

The poetry was simply to indicate that Khayam was a Favored Poet, and thus Omar's namesake... and ' one of Your Books' simply meant a Book he owned, not wrote. the inscription was simply a note, as he was leaving for war, thinking she left him he enlisted, and couldn't back out of that commitment so it was a going way token

and as far as the Benoir furniture... John is shown using some old time tools... but the thing with a Lot of forgeries is that if you get them 90% right, or heck even get the right 50% right you can fool most 'experts' and the verifier in question had purchased previous materials from Omar, so those otherspassing the tests would lower the threshold on any new materials he brings to the guy (if he'd already bought 4 'authentic' Benoirs, why would the 5th be a fake)
