I am a 46-year-old life-long gay man from Fort Worth, Texas. I have lived a good life over all my years. I have had all the usual experiences in my time and I will always remain here in my native city - Yeah!!!

I recently saw this DVD production of the stage show. I've learned from other discussions here that some folks don't think that the adaptation compares well with the stage production. I certainly understand what such comparisons of stage-to-film/video adaptations can mean for some people. This old gay man could really rip some adaptations if he wanted to.

I've never had the opportunity to see "Naked Boys Singing" on stage but I found the DVD (even with it's "recorded stage show" techniques showing) to be most delightful and fun. It is an entertaining show, after all. I'm sure that even if I knew better of the differences between the live performance and the adapted DVD version, I would still love the recorded adaptation just as much.

So many people never get to see a Broadway stage production or off-Broadway show so they are most content to see the show in any other way they can. I certainly don't mean that one version is better than the other, only that they are different and can be just as satisfying to the many different people in this wide and long nation. We cant all be, and we all don't have to be "sophisticated," do we?

As a side note, I thought that the performers in the DVD were outstanding in their singing, acting, timing and choreography. And what attractive nekkid signin' men they were!

I loved this production and I hope it will be remembered by people of our day and time and future generations with love.
