Is this worth renting or buying?

I'm just curious if it's worth shelling out $30.00 for or just renting it (providing I can find a place that will rent it)?

It is at a gay bookstore I know in Boston.

Buy the thing, guys. You won't be sorry over the years. It's worth the few extra dollars to own good entertainment. "Naked Boys Singing" is a good show, over and above the abundance of plentiful male frontal nudity. The performers are all fine singers and the musical numbers are fun and entertaining. Lately, I'm starting to whistle the songs because I love them all. If I had rented this production first I still would have ended up buying it.

OK--I bought it and you're right--it was worth it:) The guys are hot, they can all sing and dance and the songs aren't half bad. And really--there might never be another film like this made:)

If you use Netflix, they have it available.

it's only $14 at deepdiscount.com, with free shipping! I bought it before watching it, hopefully it'll be good! it hasn't come in yet

I'd rent UNLESS you find it at a bargain for around $10.

I rented it from Netflix and enjoyed it.

reply

I suggest renting for the comedy but I don't think it stands up well enough to be worth buying. In my opinion, only a few songs were all that great, several were middling, and the rest stunk.

reply

Actually I bought it. It was no classic but I was entertained and the cast was (for the most part) attractive and they could all sing. I disagree with you about the songs--they ranged from very good to OK. None of them were really lousy.

reply

Yes, you can get it for fifteen bucks from Amazon, and it's definitely worth it. Very entertaining, attractive guys, and good songs. Almost every song was a winner and there weren't any real duds.

I enjoyed this so much I have rented it from Netflix three or four different times, (I might as well buy it)

I like the guy who sings "Nothing But The Radio On".
