ABC...DVD...Please!!

Come on ABC!

I'm gonna make your heart explode.

I'd be happy if ABC would release it as part of a set with Fred Goss's other 1-season gem, Sons and Daughters.

Me too! Kath and Kim is still on the air, but Carpoolers isn't? What are these people taking?

reply

Carpoolers was funny and it stands to reason it got canned since Pushing Daisies is good too and suffering the same fate both being ABC shows.
Kath & Kim is trash, yes, but it's an NBC show, not ABC so your logic is flawed a bit.

abc didnt bring this back because it didn't feel it had anything to pair it with. although really they could've just paired it back to back with According To Jim the way they were together for CarPooler's last several episodes.

i think the network's thinking was well Cavemen was a bust...what do we do with the show that was airing alongside of it?

is it a huge hit?
no its ratings do only ok...modest ratings at best... but we could sure use it as a decent time slot filler the way we've been using According To Jim for the last couple of years....you know in between cycles of Dancing With The Stars...
Nah, dump it, we already have one timeslot filler-- we'll just get another show down the line sometime.

(and they did as Scrubs is coming to ABC in January as is some new sitcom called Better Off Ted---oh ABC why couldn't you have stuck to CarPoolers for at least one more run of episodes??") ABC they really don't think about the long term effects of their shows---like most networks not named CBS its mostly about what do we have in development, and how fast can we get that on the air to see if it'll work??? I say networks not named CBS because CBS pretty much sticks to something throughout the entire season before deciding if it really wants to dump it over the summer or not. (unless its really doing horribly ratings wise for them) seriously though the fact that Worst Week is still on the air every week amazes me to no end. CBS is mad patient with that show.

also abc wouldn't be putting it on dvd---the company that owns abc and produced the show would---in this case--Disney/Touchstone. I wouldn't hold my breath, this show was a cult pleasure at best...if you're lucky though maybe some good person will post the episodes somewhere up on youtube sometime in the future.
