Is Ao Native American?

I recently decided to watch this and it occurred to me...

Considering how she looks(black hair, deeper brown skin, her choice in jewelry and general attire) and the fact that the Earth-based parts of this are set in Florida(where the Seminole tribe is originally from), could she be of Seminole descent?

Anyone else think the same? Or maybe know more about the background of this production and can confirm she is native(though not necessarily Seminole)?

I got that feeling too - she has a Pocahontas vibe to her (especially as she falls in love with an explorer from a distant land). I'm part Native American myself (Pueblo) and she does look it.
