Do you think Miriam/Janet overdoes it a little?


the indignant uptight thing? Do you think it stretches cred a little?

As she stands she could only maintain friendships with Mormons, Quakers and Nuns...I think maybe even the Amish swing a little too much for her, although she would be at home with their wardrobes..

ok, so she has her moment in the sun when she wins the Twister game..

I know we have seen at least one Sunday church scene with them, what are they, just garden variety American Protestant like Baptist or something?

It seems like everyone was a little prudish back then, or it was just my imagination. Try watching her on GCB. She was great.

The character was written over-the-top, but I think the actress made it very believable. She displayed some refreshing humanity.

All of the main characters on this show were pretty tonal--that is, not humans so much as different moods personified and interacting with one another, not that that's a bad thing. You could say the same thing about how Susan was so dang calm all the time, haha.
