Terrible..

Here's my question: his previous film The Stone Merchant was unbearably bad -amateur night. Now he has another film Barbarossa in the can -all three of these feature F. Murray Abraham, for no apparent reason (he doesn't get a decent role to sink his teeth into).

How does such an incompetent director get the funding to continue? There are literally thousands of talented filmmakers, especially older ones put out to pasture, that cannot get backing, especially in these recessionary times where credit is hard to come by.
