I lasted about 3 minutes...

...before I hit the remote and changed the channel.

Yeah this was truly awful. Just painful to watch.

You got it. All that jumping around, not staying on one case for more than 15 seconds, not much background info on the investigators or "sensitives". Bored. Thought we were going to get a new episode of Ghosthunters. A rerun would have been better.

reply

Was there anything, and I mean ANYTHING funnier than that little girl with her Arwen cloak on? Hilarious!
I sat through it because I have nothing better to do tonight, but the Satanic Panic crap just make me really angry. Who still belives that? Oh GOD dead animals...with LIMBS REMOVED! IN THE WOODS! WHERE OTHER ANIMALS EAT THEM! Must be those mysterious Devil Worshippers!

Psychics, sketchy photos and un-verifiable nonsense.
Ghosthunters, I belive. These fools, not a chance.

I waited to see this film for months and unfortunately have to agree with you all! I especially have to agree with alexahavelock about the child sensitive running around with her psychic ability and seeing all the ghosts! That did it for me. I absolutely disappointed when that happened, and that is what made it all look so cheesy! They should have just left that entire part out because it was painful to watch, but I agree, quite amusing.

I was also disappointed because I know that all the orphan kids had lines and bigger parts. I have met one of the actor kids, and to have them all seen for fractions of seconds was a bunch of crap! People watched this JUST to see some of these kids and we all had to suffer watching the Booth Brothers running around doing their crap making it all look fake! What happened to the stories of the ORPHANS, it IS SUPPOSED TO BE ABOUT "CHILDREN" for pete's sake!!!!!!

2 thumbs down! I was disappointed!

The last place they investigated was interesting but everything else was boring.

It took me about five minutes before I realized this was fake, something along the lines of the Blair Witch Project. No one has ever come up with much "proof" of ghosts that can withstand scrutiny, and these guys come up with a photo of about fifteen shadow kids standing right where they were aiming their cameras?

I didn't see the beginning of this show, but if Sci-Fi promoted it as anything other than a fictional film, they should be ashamed.

reply

They called it a documentary in the advertisements. So yes, they definitely implied that it was non-fiction.

Honestly, I kind of avoid saying things like "oh, these photos are faked," because it seems a bit cheap, you know? That said, I did find the clarity of the apparitions suspect, and they definitely could have backed up their evidence better. You can't just say "those shadows weren't there when we took the picture." How would we know this? I could just as easily take a picture of my house and claim that my car wasn't there when I took the picture. Would you believe me? Probably not. What I really wish is that there had been some sort of interview with a photo expert, or something along those lines, in order to make it seem more believable. As it was, they were simply asking too much of their audience. From what I can gather, even believers are having a hard time with this film.

Ahh, kamisama! watashi no atama ni ono ga arimasu!

As great a shot of the kids standing in the woods is, I can't help thinking it looks a LOT like a day-for-night shot, with a blue sky and sun darkened down. I know it's supposed to be the moon and a bright night, and they lightened the picture up for clarity, and that's possible, but if it is a day-for-night picture, then it's a fake.

reply

if you thought this was bad you should have seen the one after it "ghost adventures". two douchy film school drop outs w/ a video camera and the ability to be spooked as easily as anyone on Most Haunted.

reply

I watched the whole thing, I quite enjoyed it. Better than another Giant Animal Monster movie.

Gown removed carelessly, head less so.

reply

I watched it by accident because I was supposed to be taping Ghost Hunters but this came on instead. It was entertaining and some things were creepy but I did get annoyed with the constant changing of topics and subjects. The investigation in the woods was pretty good. Sum1 needs to tell these people that the next time they do a movie like this they need to choose one topic and stay on it.
