Saw a Screening in NY last night

Really enjoyed this film...

It was a real tear jerker to begin with, but it built into a tremendous acting job by the boys and Clive.

Owen played a character he hadn't played ever before, and it was something else to see him strip himself down emotionally on camera like that...

Artie was amazing! Great little actor!

What was the rest like? The other actors in the movie?

Details, please?

reply

Thanks for the info...really looking forward to this one!

How big of a role does Emma Lung and Emma Booth have?

reply

That's good, from reading about it I wasn't sure if it would be good or not.

reply

Thanks for sharing Paul. Can't wait to see it.

thanks for the other comments guys!

I found the acting to be really well executed, and the woman who played his late wife did a great job...

the music and imagery is great, as we get sweeping shots of the countryside and lots of blue and green hues offset by the messy house the boys live in.

I understand they've done some drastic recuts to this, so it might be a bit different when it's all said and done.

What you mean he didn't just play his usual dark brown dull monotonous self?

Yes, it looks like the role Clive Owen was born to play. He's cornered the market on brooding intensity, so tears and laughter will make a great addition to the repertoire. Can't wait.

I saw this at a sceening a few days ago and I think it's one of the best pictures of the year. Everyone in it is very believable.
