Could someone answer the following questions for me? (I'm usually good at these types of movies, but I must have missed something.)

If the killer kills the family members of people who were involved in the drunk driving death of her family, why did she kill Jack and not a member of his family? And since she killed Jack, why did she go after Helen? Also, how did she manage to kill Marty's wife as he was breaking into his wife's house? Wouldn't she have waited for him to leave, like she did with the young boy she killed after Ben left. Wasn't she afraid that Marty would see her, albeit in a mask?

That the killer was the killer was telegraphed early on. I KNEW it was him/her. Then what was that red herring with him/her "finding" the knife and mask a gloves in its hiding place, and looking surprised? Who was the murderer acting for, other than us on the other side of the screen???

I'm not exactly sure why she killed Jack, except to get revenge on the people who killed her family. But, as for Helen, I think she symbolized the baby that had died. (Remember the painting she was working on.) Because Helen was in Jack's family, it made it all the more glorious for her. (Or so she thought.) In the end, none of it did her any good, since she killed herself. And lives were lost senselessly. It kind of creeped (?) me out a bit.

Remember - Marty was really drunk, probably too drunk to get it.
