disabled?

I don't mean to be in poor taste or offensive, but what are the band member's illnesses? It just says that the band is made up of musicians "with and without disabilities". Surely, two or three of the guys are not seriously disabled. In fact none of them are severely disabled. Anybody else feel the same way?

When I first saw this on IFC I thought it was about some old punk guys in a band. I thought they were just sort of burnt out on drugs and alcohol. <LOL>
They still are really good! I'd go see them perform live.

You Michael the drummer sort of has the "mongaloid" (sic) not comfortable with that statement but I don't know any other way to say it - but when he talks, he's not like that - it's sort of freaky.

The other 2 guys clearly have mental issues of some sort - I mean they all dude but you saw the movie and you know I'm talking about. I think Mike should of been the singer and Simon the singer should be the drummer. Simon kind of has ADD or something, he lets out that high pitched voice when he gets nervous.

Now Jimmy the other guitar player does look like a messed up older punk rocker. I mean to be completely honest if you put Jimmy and Ozzy in the same room - I really don't think you would be able to tell who is the Sultan of Heavy Metal and who the guitar player is of Heavy Load. Jimmy seems a little out there and has a serious mental issue but a super nice guy and I really appreciated how the director portrayed Jimmy and his view on life.

I really liked this film and 1/4 of the way through it, I wasn't sure I would.

Yeah, yeah. I was moved when I saw the scenes where they interviewed Jimmy. He was so optimistic about everything and playing in the band made him genuinely happy. I guess that's what they mean by the subtitle...

Glad you like the band - thanks! Hope we'll see you at a gig one day.

"Labels are for jam jars" - that's jelly to you.

All the best,

Heavy Load
