Funniest Moment

Lets face it: this is the most unintentionally funny movie ever. I've laughed more times during this movie than I did during "Blazing Saddles", and "Blazing Saddles" is one of my favorites. I'm curious if there is someone like me out there.

For me, the funniest moment was when the guy (I didn't remember any of their names in this film) wakes up and his leg is gone, and he starts screaming. I mean, he was sleeping, and he didn't feel any pain while his leg was being bitten off. And why would the Rex only swallow the leg, then swallow the rest of the body later? Did I mention that it was a clean cut?

What was the funniest moment for you?

Relax, guy.

reply

That scene wasn't that funny for me mainly because both of my legs fell asleep while we were filming it and I had to be lifted out of the hole that was hiding my right leg. And the fact that I had to do that scream three times and ended up losing my voice for a couple of days.

For me, the funniest was the death scene of Juarez (Milan Tresnak), the one who is disemboweled by the t-rex during the big battle scene where I get my leg slashed, the cannon is destroyed, the cannonball bounces off the dino and it falls into a pit of sharp stakes. Watch Milan's face as he convulses.

"he didn't feel any pain while his leg was being bitten off"
People who have been bitten by sharks report that they felt no pain, and were only aware of the bite after they saw their blood in the water. This is apparently because their teeth are so sharp the actual bite is very quick. I'm guessing it would be the same with a tyrannosaurus.
Also, "he was sleeping" so I imagine he was - in effect - under anaesthetic and wouldn't have been aware of the bite.
Put the two together and I think it's feasible. As long as the big-ass dinosaur tippy-toed on its approach and didn't wake him.

reply

Actually, now that I think about it, every tyrannosaurus I've ever seen DOES walk on tippy-toes, enabling them to sneak up on their prey without being heard and explaining why they were the most feared and successful predator of their day. Even if it did make them look slightly effeminate, especially with those delicate little arms... easy to imagine them carrying little handbags.
This is on UK TV next Saturday (billed as Aztec Rex) and these boards have made me wanna see it!
And "slathrop73" is quite a looker too >blush< .

Oh stop! <blush!>

Ooh, that little wink makes me feel like I'm in with a chance! >hahaha<
Nice to see somebody involved with a film contributing on here. Usually, film-makers and actors come across as members of a special club that the rest of us aren't allowed to join, but your posts almost makes it seem like you've told us the special secret handshake!

LOL what can I say, I'm an old flirt!
Well, it would be really foolish of me to think that I'm some kind of "celebrity" after only doing a few movies and some TV work. As an actor, I think that humility has to be a part of your personality, otherwise you become an insufferable ass.

reply

And an arrogant, insufferable ass is exactly what you are.

WOW! Using multi-syllabic words is a real step up for you! Did you ask your mommy for some big words to use in your sad little attempt to sound like a "professional Hollywood British dialect coach"?
LOL
Yeah, OK. Enjoy your Thanksgiving break little boy and make sure you get back to school on Monday. You obviously need more education!

What a shame nobody ever taught you to read. I never claimed to have even been to Hollywood. But I can't expect an ignorant hick from Two Mules, Arizona who has never been outside the USA, to have heard of Pinewood or Borehamwood.

What you need is a crash course in reading comprehension. Maybe one day you'll graduate from primary school, but it'll take a while.
